Shared Object Model

The Shared Object Model facilitates collaboration among engineering, construction, and asset owners using multiple applications on a central model for creating, editing, and exchanging information across users and organizations. 

It's created by merging individual models and data into a unified structure based on IFC, while maintaining the independence of contributing models through process and task management for efficient updates. 

The Trimble Connect Object Manager, a desktop client, is required to populate and manage the Shared Object Model's worksets (tasks, objects, network), enabling the sharing of only changes between the central model and local worksets where all create, read, update, and delete operations occur.
