Worksets

The Shared Model section contains Tasks, Timeline, and Worksets. Here we will also find Settings.

When you join a project with a Shared Model with Object Manager, you will be downloading a dataset that represents the whole model. We call this dataset a workset. 

The workset is a practical way of caching the model data you are interested in, to gain maximum performance, and to be able to work offline as well.

This shows which worksets have been created for the Shared Model and by who has created a workset for the shared model. Here you will see which tasks are reserved within the different workset, what is shared from the different worksets, and when that was done.

You can disconnect a workset from the shared model by selecting a workset and clicking the button “Disconnect Workset”.

This is a point of no return. - any changes done in the workset and not shared will be lost. 

A dialog will appear for you to confirm that you want to disconnect the workset.
