When selecting the only one IfcProject in the Browser, the IfcSite menu choice will be active. When selecting this menu choice, the toolbar shown below opens.
The Task section allows you to name and associate your IfcSite to a subtask in your project Explorer. Note that you can also drag and drop spatial entities in the Explorer to change the spatial structure later.
In the Spatial Structure Elements section you can specify attribute values for the IfcSite
Entity Type: Not active for IfcSite - there are no different types for IfcSite.
Name: Freetext name of the IfcSite
Description: Freetext description of the IfcSite
Predefined Type: Not active for IfcSite - there are no PredefinedTypes for IfcSite.
Object Type: Freetext to specify your own ObjectType value for the IfcSite
Usage Type: Not active for IfcSite - there are no UsageTypes defined for IfcSite
Composition Type:
Complex means that this IfcSite is supposed to have more IfcSites below in the hierarchy.
Element means that this IfcSite is the only one IfcSite.
Partial means that this IfcSite is a sub-IfcSite of another IfcSite.
Alignment: The IfcSite can be located on a specific station on the IfcAlignment. With this control you can select the actual IfcAlignment.
This function is not activated yet.
Station: The station number at which the IfcSite is located along the IfcAlignment.
This function is not activated yet.
The Relationships section allows you to select the relevant objects to be associated with the IfcSite.
Contained In Spatial Structure: Let you select objects to be associated to the IfcSite with the IfcRelContainedInSpatialStructure association type
Referenced In Spatial Structure: Let you select objects to be associated to the IfcSite with the IfcRelReferencedInSpatialStructure association type
Finally the Finish section allows you to Finish or Cancel the IfcSite creation.
