In the Trimble Connect 3D Viewer, you will find the shared model 3D View extension. This will present all the Publish 3D tasks that have been shared from the Object Manager. These tasks create a file of a 3D presentation in Object Manager and represent a snapshot in time of the progress of the Shared Model.
In the background the Publish 3D task keeps the link to the created file (*.trb). that has the content of the selected parts of the shared model. The task also hold a connection to a file that is stored in the project or external project. The Publish 3D task will show the resulting content from the file if you have delivered if you have access to the folder or project you have delivered to.
The Publish 3D task track where the files have been delivered, internally in current project or to other projects, and also to a folder on a local device. The result file for a Publish 3D task that has delivered to another project can be viewed together with Publish 3D results in current project.
The 3D Viewer can be accessed directly by going to web.connect.trimble.com. If you are not signed in already you will be asked to do so before you are taken to the projects page.
The 3D Viewer can also be opened by:
Opening your project from the Trimble Connect for Browser application
Opening a 3D model file from the Trimble Connect for Browser application
Opening a View from the Trimble Connect for Browser application
From an email notification with 3D content
If a Publish 3D task is created in a workset, and not shared it will not be visible in the 3D extension. It will be visible as soon as you have shared your last work from the shared model.
If the result file from a Publish 3D task is sent to a local device in a folder and is later uploaded manually, or with Trimble Connect Sync, to a connected project - the connection between the Publish 3D task and the resulting file is broken.
